Date: Wednesday, May 14 Our redesigned-for-2025 CASE Hackathon guides case writers of all levels from idea generation to compact case publication through a 4-part, hands-on workshop you will learn the following skills:
What to bring to the event. Have a case idea? Bring it with you to the Hackathon for further polishing. No case idea ready? No worries! Our seasoned case Hackathon facilitators will provide a hands-on demonstration showing how you can leverage AI to support case ideation. You can also bring your case writing friends and/or find new co-authors during the opening sessions of the Hackathon. What to expect. Join us for the full event or drop in any session that interests you: Part 1 – Hackathon Overview & Writing a Compact Case, 9:30 am – 10:30 am Learn the ins and outs of compact case writing, including key elements needed to see your case through to publication. Develop/find or test your ideas with an AI-based ideation session. Part 2 – Case Introduction/Opening Hook/Section Headings, 10:45 am – 12:15 pm Learn how to craft a compelling case opening hook and key case sections. Writing the opening paragraph of the case in your teams. Part 3 – Instructor’s Manual Framework, 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm After lunch, join us for an overview of the scholarly contribution of case writing - ββββββthe Instructor's Manual! Plot your roadmap for an IM that supports your case for ββββββmaximum teaching impact. Part 4 – Next Steps: Conference Submission & Publication, 2:15 pm – 3:15 pm Receive actionable guidance on where to send your case next, be it another case conference, journal, or case collection.
