Conference Theme Societal Impact: Strengthening Communities and Economies Through Management In an era of increasing global uncertainty and complexity, regional economies can be the engines of innovation, job creation, and social progress. While globalization connects us, it is at the regional level where businesses start, communities thrive, and policies take shape. Higher Education, especially business and management education, is critical in shaping regional prosperity. Business schools are a catalyst for economic development, workforce transformation, and social mobility. However, as higher education faces increasing scrutiny, we must more clearly articulate, examine, and expand our impact on the regions we serve. |

The 2026 Eastern Academy of Management (EAM) Conference calls on scholars, educators, and practitioners to explore how management research, teaching, and practice contribute to economic vitality and community resilience. How do business schools and management faculty drive workforce development, industry innovation, and social good within their regions? How do we balance global perspectives with local needs? And how can we strengthen the link between academia and regional communities to foster meaningful change? |
